Privacy policy

This policy covers Lyzom (Yamunanagar, Haryana, India), the website and its Chrome extension. It explains what we collect, why, who it goes to and what you can ask us to do with it. We follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

  • Account: your email, name, and a scrambled (hashed) password, or your Google account ID if you sign in with Google.
  • What you give us for your profile: resumes you upload (their text, and the PDF file itself so you can compare against it), your LinkedIn profile when you import it with our extension, and notes you type.
  • Your profile and resumes: the details we read from those sources, your search settings, and the resumes we build for you.
  • Jobs: job listings our extension reads from LinkedIn, Naukri and Indeed while searching for you, and how well each matches your profile.
  • Payments: what you bought, the amount and Razorpay's order and payment IDs. Card, UPI and bank details are entered with Razorpay and never reach us.
  • Usage: the searches and resume builds you use, and when you were last active.
  • To run the service: search for jobs, score them against your profile, and build your resumes.
  • To manage your plan, limits and payments, and to send you receipts, password reset links and notices about your account.
  • To answer you when you write to us, and to keep the service safe from misuse.

We don't sell your data, show advertising, or use tracking or analytics cookies.

  • AI providers: to read your sources, score jobs and write resumes, the text involved is sent to Google (Gemini) or Anthropic (Claude), depending on your account setting. They process it to give us an answer.
  • Razorpay handles payments.
  • Google sends our emails (Gmail) and, if you choose it, handles Google sign-in.
  • Our hosting provider stores the service and its database.
  • Anyone the law requires us to share it with.

The extension works in your own browser, with your own accounts on LinkedIn, Naukri and Indeed. It reads job search results and job pages for the searches you start, and your LinkedIn profile only when you choose to import it. It never asks for or sends us your passwords for those sites.

We set two cookies: one that keeps you signed in (for 30 days, or until you sign out) and one that remembers your light or dark theme.

  • Your data is kept while you have an account. Your newest 10 profile versions are kept, plus older ones a past search or resume still uses, and your newest 10 uploaded PDFs.
  • When your account is deleted, your profile, sources, files, searches, resumes and usage are deleted. Payment records are kept as the law requires for accounting.

You can ask to see the data we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete your account. Most of your profile can be changed yourself on My profile. Write to from the email you signed in with; we act within 7 days. This address is also our contact for privacy complaints (grievance officer: Lyzom, support@lyzom.com).

Data travels over encrypted connections, passwords are stored only as hashes, and your profile and resumes are visible only to you (and to us when you ask for help with them).

When we change this policy, we update the date at the top, and tell you by email if the change matters. See also our .
